 Fife Inclusion Network (FIN)!

Our Fife Inclusion Network (FIN) brings people from different communities together to discuss what matters to them in their local area and learn about activities in their community hubs.

Our aim is to help more people discover local community groups or hubs, bring attention to their services and activities and together, learn about inclusive places across Fife and support Fife's wide and diverse communities.

We plan to do this through regular Get-Togethers and gatherings, one-to-one casework, engaging with partner organisations and more.

For our clients, volunteers and also for our team, this project is a natural evolution of the ME60+ (Minority Ethnic Older People) initiative we ran in response to the impact of the pandemic on minoritised communities in Fife.

Our work now continues on to address isolation, improve access to wider services and nurture a sense of belonging for diverse communities living locally. We see so many examples of good work in inclusion and pockets of welcoming spaces and networks by partners in Fife, the FIN project provides us with dedicated time and resources to help human connections grow and strengthen community.

From 1 April 2025, our Get Togethers take place monthly as part of our new Fife Inclusion Network project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This is supported by our Companion Support project volunteers, supported by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund through Fife Voluntary Action and Scottish Government.

The ME60+ Project:

Our Get-Togethers are a natural evolution of our Minority Ethnic 60+ (ME60+) Project.

Starting during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the ME60+ Project aimed to support people aged 60+ from minority ethnic communities in Fife.

The project was funded as part of the National Lottery Community Fund.

It focused on a combination of 1-2-1 and group support through get-togethers, advice and guidance, food parcels, electronic device delivery and much more.
