February Get-Together: Chinese New Year

Fife Inclusion Network hosted our Feb Get-Together on Wednesday 25th February in Abbeyview Community Hub in Dunfermline for a wee celebration of the Chinese New Year for the Year of the Horse.

The gathering was truly an enjoyable experience for multicultural connection for our guests. Featuring a live Chinese cooking demonstration, lantern making activity, and festive decoration and of course some traditional Chinese New Year cuisine.  The gathering was blended with cuisine, culture and getting different communities together.

Around 30 guests attended the gathering and they had a great time participating in learning how to make dumplings demonstrated by our Fife Inclusion Network member and Companion volunteer Erica and enjoyed the activity of making their own lantern using red envelopes. They had fun helping to decorate the space with Chinese New Year decorations. Everyone received a red envelope filled with chocolate coin and sweet for fun, and enjoyed the traditional food made by our members.

We would like to thank the staff at Abbeyview Community hub for facilitating us on the day and everyone who participate the Get-Together.

Our Get-Togethers are a great opportunity to meet others and continue strengthening inclusion across Fife and to find out more about our Fife Inclusion Network project  and what our work involves Fife Inclusion Networks | FCE.
