Have you or a Loved One experienced Palliative Care? - St. Andrews University

  • Jul 17
  • 1 min read

Researchers at the University of St. Andrews are inviting patients and caregivers to take part in a research interview exploring views on a new NHS tool designed to support easier access to palliative care.

It's a great opportunity to share your views and help improve services for all. The interview itself will take between 40 minutes and 1 hour, and all participants will receive a £20 voucher for their time.

Topics will include:

• Experiences of unscheduled or out-of-hours care

• Your views on being told about potential risk of needing palliative care

• Preferences around communication and decision-making

• Ethical or cultural considerations

• What would make a tool like NU-GEST feel helpful or harmful

• Your advice for how such tools should (or shouldn’t) be used in the NHS

If you would like to get involved, please contact Dr. Emma Louise Gale at eg243@st-andrews.ac.uk.
