Welcome to the 2nd instalment of our monthly mental health improvement challenges. Running from June-March, every other month we’ll be giving the people of Fife a new challenge in an aim to improve your mental health.
In June, we asked you to help brighten yours and someone else day with a small act of kindness. Many of you took part by sharing cakes or visiting friends and expressed how positive both you and others felt after. Now we want to encourage more of you to take part.
This August, we want you to make the most of this summer and enjoy some time outside. Take a stroll to the end of the road, maybe sit outside or even spend time gardening, there are countless ways to enjoy some nice fresh air outside.
Spending time outside can help reduce stress, improve your mood and even help ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Just spending even a few minutes can make a big difference.
Try and focus on what’s around you, what can you see, hear or feel? Let’s enjoy the last of summer while it’s here.
